Bangalore: Coca-Cola is all set to outsource its datacenter to Hewlett-Packard (HP), a move that's expected to affect the jobs of about 90 people in Atlanta. Coca-Cola Spokesperson, Dana Bolden has said that discussions on how to handle the transition are underway, and that details should be determined by end of the month. A significant portion of the Coca-Cola employees are expected to be offered jobs at HP, but employees who don't receive a job will be given a severance package, said Bolden. The outsourcing of the datacenter is part of a broader move by Coca-Cola to improve productivity across the company. Earlier this year, the Atlanta-based beverage firm announced that it is combining global information technology functions into a new global business and technology services unit.
