Beijing: China Wednesday successfully launched a remote-sensing satellite from its Taiyuan launch centre in northern Shanxi province, Xinhua reported. The Yaogan XII was sent into space aboard a Long March 4B carrier rocket. The satellite will carry out surveys on land resources, estimate crop yield and help with natural disaster prevention, the Taiyuan Satellite Launch Centre said in a statement.
