Alienware offers 3D gaming experience with Aurora Alx
Bangalore: After launching its first gaming lounge in the world in Bangalore a couple of weeks back, Dell-owned Alienware is offering a 3D gaming treat to Indian gamers with its Aurora Alx machines. These machines takes you to a world far removed from the one you can experience on an ordinary PC, writes Neenu Abraham of the Economic Times. The Aurora Alx machines have a 24 GB DDR -3 RAM, an i7xtreme Intel core and 4 GB graphic cards. The machine, which would cost 3.75 lakh, is now available for gamers at a cost of 100 an hour. The theme is essentially that of a spacecraft - right from the metal flooring to the CPUs of the desktops, which have a layer of coolant, the colour of which, can be adjusted from bright orange to deep blue. The keyboards are backlit, with each section set in a different colour. For those who want to take their games back home, there are gaming notebooks such as the Alienware M11x, available for upwards of 70,000. This can be used both as a powerful netbook as well as a gaming device. It has full HD display with a resolution of 720p. And for more serious gamers, there is the Alienware M17x. With an aluminium finish, it has a resolution of an unheard of 1200p. With the trend showing the evolution of higher and higher HD games, we need to be prepared with very high resolution responsive machines, according to a Dell spokesperson.
