Bangalore: Adobe said that Flash Player in Google Chrome is still a work in progress and promises better Flash support in the future. While referring to the Chrome laptops in particular, the video performance is being viewed as an area that can use a good deal of improvement. Enabling video acceleration is expected to do the trick and smooth out the user experience on these notebooks. In an official blog post, Paul Betlem, Sr. Director of Engineering said, "the highest priority was being placed on implementing hardware video acceleration, which would drastically improve video performance. Makes sense to me, because half the population would rage if the final release - not the prototype - of the OS didn't play their favourite Youtube videos very well." Chrome laptop owners will be able to avail off updates automatically due to direct integration of the software. The company is also working on improving the Windows and Mac OS version of Flash Player.
