Bangalore: Software major Adobe India, part of Adobe Systems, aims to garner 25 percent of its turnover from digital education by calendar year 2012. At present, digital education contributes 16 percent of Adobe's turnover in India, reports The Economic Times. "At Adobe India, we are trying to partner with the state governments across India to provide digital literacy at school and college level. It's a huge market. Though we cannot quantify the digital education market in India, but it is directly proportional to the number of schools and colleges in the country," said Sandeep Mehrotra, Director (Sales) at Adobe India. "This initiative will help them plan an alternative career in areas like web design and animation," said Mehrotra. To achieve the targeted growth, Adobe India is taking its products to schools to let students in classes 5-12 familiarize themselves with products like Photoshop. "We have worked out a world-class curriculum for students," he added.
