Technologies Banned in Different Countries

China- Skype
Skype got banned in China in 2010, the same day the company announced the addition of video calling to its iPhone apps. The ban said that only China Telecom and China Unicom are allowed to operate VoIP services in the country. China had a tradition of banning many websites and has the infamous “Great Firewall,” which gives the Chinese government supreme power to control websites.
