Tata becomes SAP's first Asian global partner

MUMBAI: Tata Consultancy Services has become software giant SAP's first Asian global partner for services, the two companies said at SAP's Sapphire customer event in Paris.
Tata joins 12 other international consultancies including Accenture, Capgemini and HP Consulting as a global services partner of the German software company.
Tata Consultancy Services (TCS) will develop software applications to run on top of SAP platforms as well as being a preferred implementer of SAP systems.
TCS currently employs more than 2,200 staff worldwide working on SAP services. In total, it has 62,000 IT consultants in 35 countries.
