Tally Solutions signs MoU with ICWAI
Bangalore: The Enterprise Resource Planning (ERP) software major Tally Solutions (TSPL) has signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) with the Institute of Cost and Works Accountants of India (ICWAI), a management accounting institute in New Delhi, to build an industry-academia interface for students. According to the MoU, TSPL would provide 60-hours computer training for practical IT & related applications for the 'Certificate in Accounting Technicians' (CAT) Program. The program intends to benefit more than 5000 students through a network of over 1300 training locations across India for the next batch of ICWAI. Avinash Gupta, the CEO of the Education Division, TSPL said, "It is expected to enhance the quality of flow of information and create a new blend of knowledge society in the finance and accounting domain." With this partnership, ICWAI and Tally Solutions look forward to increase the training bandwidth across the country. Kunal Banerjee, President (ICWAI), A.S. Durgaprasad, Vice-President (ICWAI) along with G.N. Venkataraman, Chairman of Committee for CAT, opined, "ICWAI and Tally will address the social upliftment by taking professional education to rural areas."
