It would be amazing to people to know that 'Dilwale Dulhaniya Le Jaayenge' is something similar to Shahrukh Khan and Gauri Love story. But it is true; Sharukh even claims those scenes were very much close to his own life story. It may be his own experience which made him to look so naturally in the movie. Gauri, born a vegetarian, was a Hindu Brahmin and Shahrukh being a Muslim in India where religion plays a key role while deciding the destiny of marital alliances, were decided to get married after a long courtship of more than six years. Shahrukh started to convince all her relatives one by one. It took many years to do so and gradually everyone started liking him and even assured that her parents will also agree soon. The marriage took place in 1991 was a tough task to accomplish. But at the end everything fell in to place for the couples because Shahrukh was willing to do anything to get her in his life
