Strontium launches 500GB portable hard drive
Singapore: Strontium, suppliers of memory modules and flash products, has unveiled a portable external hard drive called the Strontium Power Store Slim with a maximum capacity of 500GB. This hard drive provides storage solution for backing up and storing videos, photos, songs, graphics, documents, spreadsheets and more. Ajay Kogta, Country Manager, Indian Subcontinent, Strontium Technology said, "Whether you are a professional or home user, these days it is essential to be able to carry your valuable data anywhere with you. Ultra compact, easy-to-use and secure, this USB 2.0 powered portable hard drive makes transporting and sharing data easier than ever. Being self powered, you can take the drive anywhere you go without worrying about needing external power or adapters." Power Store Slim is made from lightweight stainless steel and plastic. It transfers at a speed of 480Mbit/sec (60MB/sec) and is complaint with USB2.0 as well as USB 1.1. Power Store Slim is compatiable with Windows 98/NT/2000/2003/XP/Vista, MAC, Linux as well as the soon to be launched Microsoft Windows 7. "With transfer rates up to 480Mbs, this device can backup your entire desktop or laptop in just minutes with one push of the backup button located on the drive's front panel. It utilizes the Clone PC software to provide a powerful and reliable backup solution," Kogta added. Power Store Slim comes with a two years warranty. It is available at a price of 2799 (250GB), 3299 (320GB) and 4599 (500GB).
