Twitter was approached by Mark Zuckerberg with an acquisition amount of $500 million, but the offer was turned down. Since then, Twitter has raised several huge funding rounds. The denial of the deal might be due to the executive and investors of Twitter feeling that there is still an opportunity to blow this thing out. Twitter now has more than 100 million active users every month and receives 400 million visitors a month. Currently the company is growing up with 60 percent this year.
