SoSasta.com tie-up with Ginger Hotels to launch travel deals

Bangalore: SoSasta.com (Groupon India) ventured into travel deals in the country with a tie-up with Ginger Hotels, a range of three star economy hotels from the house of Tata's, by offering up to 70 percent off on stay at Ginger Hotels. The deal is redeemable at Ginger Hotels in 23 locations in India.
Groupon was launched in November 2008 in Chicago, which features daily deal on the best stuff to do, eat, see and buy in more than 500 markets around the world. It acquired SoSasta.com, founded by Ananya Bubna, in January 2011, to setup its presence in India. With headquarter in Bangalore; the firm has presence in Chennai, Delhi, Mumbai, Kolkata and Pune among others.
Bubna, Managing Director, Groupon India, said that their tie-up with Ginger Hotels is to reiterate their intention- quality at impossible prices. They look forward to feature world-class merchants in the travel industry, mitigating the pinch of expensive travel. The deal is can be redeemed in the following cities; Agartala, Ahmedabad, Chennai, Mysore, Delhi, Indore, Bangalore, Bhubaneshwar, Goa, Guwahati, Haridwar, Pantnagar, Jamshedpur, Ludhiana, Mangalore, Nasik, Pondicherry, Pune, Surat, Trivandrum and Vadodara. The voucher can be redeemed during holiday season in India, i.e. by 31 August, 2011.
