Nostalgic Video Games
An arcade game developed by Namco in 1979, Galaxian is a fixed shooter-style game in which the player controls a spaceship at the bottom of the screen and shoots enemies descending in various directions. Its popularity resulted in bringing up of its sequel "Galaga" in 1981. It was one of the pioneer game for several reasons such as, it was the first game with multi-colored animated sprites and explosions, a crude theme song, different colored fonts for the score and high score and more prominent background music and graphic icons that showed the number of ships left and how many rounds the player had completed. The game had a popularity rate of five out of five around its release date with a two out of five for the difficulty.
