Getting your startup covered by all the popular blogs sounds tempting, but imagine a tech site talking about a cloth retailer? It sounds like Mickey Mouse talking about NASA or the president talking about a mosquito coil. If your goal is solely to get more traffic, go ahead, but if you want relevant people to visit your ste, better make blogs which are in the same domain to talk about you. Even though the traffic might be less, but it would be relevant atleast, rather than every Tom, Dick, and Harry visiting your ste, just because they read about it on all the popular blogs.
