Druva to raise $10 Million in Series B Funding

Pune: Pune-based start-up Druva Software is planning to raise $10 million in series B funding from Nexus Venture Partners. The fund will be used for the expansion of operations in the global markets and for R&D, reports Economic Times. They raised $5 million in series A funding from Sequoia Capital and Indian Angel Network last March.
Co-Founded by Jaspreet Singh, Ramani Kothandaraman and Milind Borate, Druva Software in 2007, Druva Software sells enterprise backup and retrieval software. Its clientele includes US space agency NASA, French fashion brand Louis Vuitton and Xerox. It has over 750 customers across 26 countries. Since inception, they have launched two product streams-inSync for laptop backup and Phoenix for server backup. The products uniquely combine source based data de-duplication and WAN Optimization to offer unmatched protection for enterprise data at the edge.
Jaspreet Singh is the CEO of Druva. He bootstrapped the company while defining the product, sales and marketing strategies. Prior to founding Druva, he was a member of the storage foundation group at Veritas. He also held various engineering specific roles at Ensim Corporation. Singh holds a Bachelors in Computer Science from IIT Guwahati.
