The Sunnyvale-based NetApp, a data storage provider pays an average total pay of $149,985 for members of Technical Staff. After the recession, the payrolls of the employees jumped up to 171 percent and got a whopping bonus of $146.7 million or about 8 percent of the company’s operating budget. The new hires of the company receive equity and stock is given out on a performance basis each year.
