Lawrence “Larry” J. Ellison is the Co-Founder and CEO of Oracle Corporation. He was born to Florence Spellman and his biological father was an Italian-American U.S. Air Force pilot. When he was nine months old, he contracted pneumonia. It was then that his mother realized that she was not able to take care of him and arranged for him to be adopted by her aunt and uncle in Chicago. He never met his biological mother again until the age of 48.
