In 2006, podcasting startup Odeo was made irrelevant after the release of iTunes and other competition. Seeing the writing on the wall, the founders of the company - Jack Dorsey, Noah Glass, Evan Williams and Biz Stone - decided to change their project and Twitter began as a side project originating from hackathons to identify viable new opportunities. Today, Twitter has over 200 million users, with secondary market trading placing the company's valuation around $7 billion. Though we agree that change is an important facet of life, we often fail to accept change. Perspective gets clouded by emotions. Beliefs get overshadowed with doubts. But few can overcome these imparities and gain momentum to become one of the best in their category.
