Litmus

LitmusOnce Paul Farnell, Founder of Litmus said that they had no plans for exit. They just want to enjoy the flexibility and freedom they have. To them, it is not just money, it is about enjoying what we do and believing in it.

Litmus is a tool for marketers to help them tests and tracks the email campaigns, so that one can always put their best design forward. Paul Farnell, Mathew Bridley and David Smalley founded Litmus in 2005 with a used computer and $800. They three launched the site in one weekend and share their first version with a group of designers on an email list they had been a member of for years.

They had the policy of charging the users from the start, and gradually within a few months they had received positive response and around a 100 paying customers.
