Sony unveils two new video Walkman
Mumbai: Sony India has unveiled new Walkman video MP3 player series NWZ-S540 and NWZ-E440. These new Walkman have an integrated Digital Linear Phase speaker system in its slim and compact frame. The Digital Linear Phase speaker system is developed by Sony to enhance sound quality from stereo speakers. The NWZ-S540 player has 2.4-inch LCD screen and it allows users to share their favorite music with friends and family. Both the series feature an extended battery life for longer music and video playback. NWZ-S540 has upto 42 hours of music playback and 6.5 hours of video playback while NWZ-E440 has the capacity of up to 30 hours of music playback and six hours of video playback. The S540 series features an alarm function which allows users to set a daily 'wake-up call'. A timer function switches off the Walkman within a set time, which helps to preserve battery life. It also has voice and FM recording and multiple codec support for convenient music and video playback. The Content Transfer software easily transfers files such as music, movies and photos from windows explorer, iTunes or even cyber-shot cameras to the Walkman. The NWZ-S540 series comes with a stand, making it easy to prop up the player instead of holding it when watching videos or recording lectures.
