Sony Playstation3 Re-Priced in India

Bangalore: Sony has reduced the prices of the Playstation 3 in India. The re-pricing initiated by Sony is a worldwide extension as there is a 10-15 percent price reduction of playstation 3 in the U.S., Europe and Japan.
The PlayStation Move Starter bundle kit consists, a Playstation Move motion controller, an Eye camera and a starter disc that includes demos of games such as Sports Champions, Tiger Woods PGA Tour 11 and Start the Party!
The 160GB PS3 will now cost Rs16,990, a drop of 
3,000 from the original price. The 320GB PS3 with the Playstation Move Starter Pack bundle will now have a price tag of 19,990, a drop in the price by Rs 2,500. The global price change is most likely a reaction to Nintendo's decision to reduce the 3DS' price by almost 25 percent in the U.S.
The price drop makes the 320GB PS3 a much cheaper deal than the 250GB Xbox 360 which is priced at 21,990 and comes Kinect ready but without the Kinect sensor and controller. Equivalently, the PS3 160GB again appears to be a better deal than the Xbox 360 4GB that has a price tag of 14,990 and can be availed with a free game.
