Sokrati expands internationally with Inventus Capital Partners

Bangalore: Inventus Capital Partners are funding Sokrati, a Pune-based search marketing and analytics company. Sokrati provides an automated & scalable search & social media marketing platform with a special niche for advertisers in e-commerce, travel and classifieds space. Currently, it delivers & optimizes over 15 million impressions per day within the paid search marketing channel. The fund will be utilized to grow their business, internationally and to build a unified, scalable online marketing platform for advertisers and agencies.
Usually Inventus invests $1 to $2 Million in the first venture round. As the business grows they invest up to $10 Million. After the deal Samir Kumar, MD, Inventus Capital India and John Dougery, MD, Inventus Capital Partners will join Sokrati's board.
Sokrati was founded in 2009 by former Amazon employees - Ashish Mehta, Santosh Gannavarapu and Anubhav Sonthalia. While Ashish was part of the paid marketing Team at Amazon.com where he managed channels like comparison shopping, search & affiliate network, Santosh was involved with software powering Amazon's Affiliate Marketing and Anubhav was in the program & product management division.
Sokrati claims that it improves performance by atleast 30 percent within 6-8 weeks as compared to other search marketing platforms. Company also has an office in U.S.
Investus has invested in companies like Vizury Interactive Solutions (Internet marketing company), TeliBrahma (mobile digital media firm), Insta Health Solutions (hospital IT solutions firm), Pilani Soft Labs of redBus.in (online bus ticketing provider) and Wealth India Financial Services of FundsIndia.com (online investment services platform).
