Bangalore: The Storage Networking Industry Association (SNIA) will be hosting a Datacenter Technologies Academy in Abu Dhabi in March, reports ITP.net.
The one-day event, taking place on 31st March, consists of a series of seminars which are designed to provide storage professionals with educational content on key technologies and solutions. Now in its sixth year, the seminar program includes both vendor-neutral content delivered by members of the SNIA, alongside presentations from leading vendors in the datacenter technologies market.
Sponsors of the Academy confirmed include ADVA, IBM, HP, Quantum and Dell. The Academy will include tracks on subjects such as cloud storage and security, data protection, FCoE, enterprise-level solid state storage, ethernet storage and storage considerations for virtual servers.
"With so many events out there to chose from, it is important to select the ones that are going to give you a return on investment of your time. The Academy certainly does that. The agenda was full of topics that are at the top of our priority list such as server virtualisation and cloud computing and I'm pleased to see SNIA working to bring clarity and standardisation into these areas. I'm looking forward to seeing more in the future," said Vicente Marco, Technical Architect, T-Systems.
