Nine out of 10 Gen Y respondents surveyed said they engage in online shopping.  While in India, 84 percent of respondents shop online.

Nearly three out of five (58 percent) report they regularly rely on customer reviews when deciding on online purchases; an additional 28 percent consult online reviews occasionally.  In India, a total of 93 percent of respondents rely on customer reviews for online shopping.

57 percent - almost 3 out of five- are willing to share their email address with stores and online sites in order to receive notices about discounts and sales.  In India, the number is significantly higher at 93 percent, but they are wary of sharing much more than that – few are willing to share phone numbers, home address or other personal data.

Almost 90 percent of respondents upload photos to share or store on internet sites. In India the number is slightly higher at 94 percent.

When it comes to videos, 62 percent upload videos to share or store on internet sites. In India, higher percent of respondents (73) store/share videos.  

In India almost all respondents (98 percent) have a Facebook account! Out of which 71 percent update their Facebook at least once a day and 49 percent several times a day. When it comes to Twitter, 75 percent of respondents have an account and 38 percent tweet at least once a day.
