Skyway cup to promote Skyway Builder Community Edition

Bangalore: Skyway Software, a software solution provider, is drawing the attention of developers across India to the Skyway Cup 2008. The Skyway Cup is a developer contest aimed at encouraging developers the world-over to test drive the Skyway Builder Community Edition (CE), a model-centric JEE development tool. Developers can participate in the contest by submitting entries in two categories such as Best Rich Internet Application (RIA) and Best Skyway Builder CE Extension.
To demonstrate their proficiency, developers have to submit entries by 30th September 2008. The 1st place prize is $25,000, 2nd place prize is $7,500 and 3rd place prize is $2,500. Skyway Software also will award 22 Honorable Mention prizes of $250 each.
According to Sean Walsh, President and CEO of Skyway Software, "Our Skyway Community is thriving and our members are very talented. We truly look forward to their RIAs submittals and Skyway Builder extensions and are excited that all of the contributions will benefit the entire Skyway Community."
With Skyway Builder CE, Java developers get an open source Eclipse-based plugin, which is a first-of-its-kind model centric with almost no hand coding requirements for the creation of RIAs and Web Services.
