SiliconIndia's Startup of the Week: Koolkart
This ecommerce social networking startup has also added various other features like ‘ask a stylist’ that would let a shopper ask fashion related questions to an in house stylist. It also delivers the shopped items to the purchaser within 7 days which comes with a 15 days return policy. A shopper would be amazed to see the different categories available as it includes few handpicked collections, apparel, jewellery, bags, home design and spa.
Our Competitors
“Indians are still getting used to signing up on third party websites with their Facebook login, with the suspicion that their personal data might get misused. This is obviously untrue and creating awareness on how limited Facebook data is shared with Koolkart and how this information (e.g. Friend’s list) will be used to improve their online shopping experience is required,” says Anupam Agarwal.
Every sector has its own kind of competition and since ecommerce is seeing a boom, Koolkart has its own. “Competition exists from ecommerce sites advertising on television – but they sell branded goods. In the designer space, though there are a couple of others trying this, we believe we are doing significantly better at scaling up and providing the right experience to the shoppers. Our focus in the next quarter is to get more high-quality designers onboard and continue innovating on the social experience, by building the right tools,” says Suneil Chawla.
