Sanra's acquisition to bring in more Animation

Chennai/Bangalore: Sanra Software, a New Media technology company, sets for gaming ventures with a plan to make 2D and 3D animation movies. Along with an acquisition of a gaming company, development of flash-based products is also in the line. The planned acquisition value of Sanra Softwares is not clearly stated. However, a reliable unnamed source of Business Standard, mentions business acquisition plan in the gaming and animation space, which may range from $10million to $15million. "Being a listed entity, and to give high value return for investors, we will be continuously looking at expansion through acquisition of studios in India and abroad," Venkatramani, the Chairman, Sanra softwares said. The Bangalore based animation studio of the company, has been recently opened after the acquisition of Acropetal Animation India. Thus its operations will be headed by the latter's founder N K Narashimhan. The company intends to be in business with the offshore companies who shall have strong marketing tie-ups. As its core business lies in IP creation quality services in the field of animation, gaming and new media technology, it wants to join in with firm with sound IP creation base. The software firm expects to expand its high-end production-oriented training in the animation and gaming spheres into a full-fledged retail model.
