Bangalore: Samsung India has started the Google Android 2.2 Froyo update for the Galaxy S smartphones. The upgrade brings in some important feature changes in your phones. You can update your Galaxy S by downloading Kies PC suite software, the Samsung Mobile Desktop Program.
You can now install Android apps on your microSD cards following the Froyo update. The Froyo enables tethering in the Galaxy S, making the phone a Wi-Fi hotspot. The update facilitates Galaxy S to support Flash 10.1. It also gives better performance with HTML 5 based web apps in the native mode.
The Froyo update is certainly good news for Galaxy S turning the phone into one of the best available phones in the Indian market. With this update, the Froyo is now available on over 43 percent of all phones. This is a rise of 10 percent since October.
Not just the Froyo update the percentage of phones running Android 2.0 or higher has touched 83. Now we look forward to when the Gingerbread updates of the phones will be done.
