New Delhi: Global wireless solutions group, Radio Frequency Systems (RFS) has appointed Kuldeep Tikoo as the new managing director of its Indian operations. Kuldeep will be focussing on strengthening the RFS brand in the sub-continent, as well as overseeing the operations of RFS in India. He arrives with an engineering degree and nearly 20 years experience of sales and marketing within the Indian electronics industry. Previously he worked in communications (both wireless and wireline), radio frequency and microwave for a range of companies including semi-conductor manufacturers CDIL (Continental Device India Limited) and Tyco Electronics, with whom he spent 14 years as a Country Manager. Having taken up his new position in December, he explains: "This is an extremely important time for RFS in India, because the country is experiencing astronomical growth, and implementation of the latest technologies is happening rapidly." "RFS is already a well-respected name in India and my role is to move things on even further. As India develops, there is a growing need for superior technology and higher performance." RFS is currently developing a range of high performance solutions including base station and microwave antennas, and Kuldeep is looking forward to the challenge of driving the company forward on the sub-continent. "We already have one facility in India; a microwave antenna factory at Kolkata which is up and running. This is the first step of our ambitious industrial plan. It helps us develop our market share and add value to the high service levels we already offer our customers." Kuldeep, 43 years, lives in New Delhi with his wife Sunita and two daughters Anmol and Muskan.
