Bangalore: Former Managing Director and CEO of ICICI Venture, Renuka Ramnath led private equity fund Multiples Alternate Assets Multiples raises $375 million from domestic and international investors, reports Economic Times. At this stage, the company will not look at any further fund raising but will initiate deploying the fund through investments. The fund is in negotiation with several family-owned business groups currently for a control transaction. The fund would maintain a dulcet for $50 million but would adopt consortium routes, like global private equity funds do, for large transactions. Multiples is in early talks with Nov Sara, a Dehradun based oil and gas equipment maker, for a management buyout transaction where the existing management is planning to buy out its American joint venture partner STS Products. Renuka Ramnath, graduate in Engineering from Veermata Jijabai Technological Institute, Mumbai, holds an MBA in Finance from the University of Bombay and completed the Advanced Management Program at Harvard Business School, has been profiled and included in many prestigious lists including the Top 25 Most Powerful Women in Indian Business and India's Most Powerful CEOs as well.
