Reasons for iPad's Win Over Android's Failure

Compatibility: IPad sales are better this time especially in the US since it is not limited by carriers—it is now available to customers using any of the carriers and not just to AT&T or Verizon customers. In the Indian perspective, however, all you need to run an iPad’s connectivity (according to Apple’s Support Communities and the Mac rumors forums) would be a 3G micro sim which incidentally is provided by most major carriers, from BSNL to Reliance.

Are there any other factors that contribute to Apple’s success? How do you think Android could try a comeback to the iPad’s third generation of sales? Will Microsoft’s entry with Windows 8 change anything? Why do you think the iPad’s sales weren’t even slightly affected by the controversies surrounding Apple and the “ethical” manufacture of its devices? Sound off in the comments section.
