Persistent, IBM set up centre of excellence

Pune: Outsourced software product developer Persistent Systems and IBM have come together to set up a Centre of Excellence for IBM rational products.
The center was recently inaugurated by Sriram Rajan, Vice-President, IBM Software Group, IBM India, and Dr.Srikanth Sundararajan, COO, Persistent Systems.
It will help Persistent build a virtual community of developers, support teams and service personnel who specialize in supporting IBM products to share ideas, solutions and resources, a statement said.
Commenting on the new initiative, Dr.Sundararajan said "It is a completely new way of organizing our infrastructure. Our goal is to equip and benefit our employees to develop world class products."
Rajan observed that the centre is an example of how two companies can come together to help organizations maximize the returns on investments and improve performance.
