Thomas Edison

He was an American inventor and businessman who developed many devices that influenced life around the world, like the phonograph, the motion picture camera, electric light bulb. He was the inventor to apply principles of mass production and a large teamwork to work on the process of invention and because of this he was credited with the creation of first industrial research laboratory. Edison is the most productive inventor holding 1,093 U.S. patents in his name and also in United Kingdom, France and Germany. He invented a stock ticker a mechanical vote recorder, a battery for an electric car, electrical power, recorded music and motion pictures. Edison’s first power station was on Manhattan Island, New York.
