Bangalore: Aye Moah of Baydin Inc has done a great favour to busy people everywhere. She's created a Gmail/Chrome extension called INBOX PAUSE.

You need to simply install the extension, refresh your Gmail and a “Pause” button appears alongside your Mail drop down. Clicking on it prevents any more emails from getting received in your inbox. Emails are stored in a hidden place until you're ready to receive them. It can even send auto-replies to email senders saying their messages were not received.

When your inbox is paused, a Gmail-style yellow banner appears at the top of your inbox that reads, "Your inbox is currently paused. Please click the blue UNPAUSE button to see what's waiting for you." It only prevents new email from appearing in the Inbox. You can still reply and compose mail.

INBOX PAUSE is currently available for Chrome. The creator says "Take a break from email. Be Free."
