Patni acquires ZAiQ

MUMBAI: With a spur in Indian companies acquiring firms abroad, Patni Computer Systems Ltd. acquired a Woburn, MA based ASIC design company, ZaiQ Technologies.
With this, Patni earns the Intellectual property in ASIC design and Validation space, active customer contracts, business pipeline with a sales head, trademarks and other capital assets like hardware and software along with lots of other facilities. The company also has acquired an eight-member team.
ZaiQ provides outsourced design services and software products to developers of complex, high-performance systems and integrated circuits. It also offers services to support design and verification complex FPGA, ASIC and SoC based products. It holds the Intellectual Property in ASIC verification and validation space.
