Bangalore: Patents war is heating up day by day, and with Google acquiring Motorola mobility it is likely to fuel the already steam up fire. Recently in the month of August Google's legal chief has attacked Microsoft, Oracle and Apple for ganging up on Android using massive acquisitions of patents. He specifically referred to Microsoft and Apple's involvement in the purchase of patent holdings from Novell and Nortel. History has witnessed many patents war arising out from this giant tech world. Here is the list of most talked about patents war. 1. Apple vs. HTC
On March 2, 2010 Apple sued phone maker HTC and has filed a complaint with the U.S. International Trade Commission, alleging that the Taiwanese company is infringing 20 Apple patents related to the iPhone user interface, underlying architecture, and hardware. On July 2011, the Cupertino-based company again lashed at HTC and filed another lawsuit against the company . According to reports Apple is targeting over a dozen HTC Android smartphones and the HTC Flyer tablet. Apple is aiming to block the sales of those Android devices it claims are infringing on Apple's patents.
