Pardeep Kohli founded Mavenir Systrems raises $13.6 Million

Bangalore: Mavenir Systems, provider of mobile convergence solutions, has secured $13.6 million in a fourth round of funding from North Bridge Venture Partners, Austin Venture, Alloy Ventures, Greenspring Associates and Cisco. The company has raised a total of $65 million since 2005, reports Anil Sharma from TMCnet.com. The company enables service continuity across wired and wireless networks, allowing carrier customers to get consistent service on multiple personal devices. With Mavenir technologies, a customer can use a single phone number to receive calls on both his or her mobile and landline phones. The company can also intelligently route a customer's call through a wireless network, office PBX system or 4G, depending on a customer's physical location. Based in Richardson, Tex., the company plans to use its latest round of funding to attract more top-tier mobile operators. Recently, Mavenir acquired MetroPCS and Cellcom in the USA and Viettel in Vietnam as customers and was recognized as a major player in the Mobile IMS market by industry analyst firmInfonetics Research. "The opportunity for network transformation is upon us. Our core network innovations power mobile cloud services today," said Pardeep Kohli, president and CEO of Mavenir Systems, in a statement. Kohli said that the funding the company is receiving from the investors is indicative of the strong customer traction, confidence in the company's solution offering and ability to deliver.
