Nokia to use new UI for Symbian on N8

Bangalore: Nokia introduces the new user interface (UI) for Symbian operating system and they will use it on the handset N8. MyNokiaBlog has revealed the information that Nokia's flagship N8 will run on the new UI. N8 was the first model to use Symbian^3.The new UI will be applied mostly on existing Symbian^ 3 devices. A new homescreen moves the battery, signal, time and operator area has been reduced to a small bar to save space. In Mobile World Congress (MWC), Nokia had presented the new UI. In that presentation they had mentioned that in the new UI, there will be completely new devices, the hardware performance will be improved, an ongoing Qt development, installation of new software which will be easy for users to controlled. In the new interface they are adding three new soft buttons at the bottom of the screen to represent call, and menu functions. However the new interface looks more like Android OS, and it may be an attempt to invite users during the transition over to Windows Phone.
