Bangalore: After the launch of highend N900, Nokia has come up with a low priced N2690. The handset priced at 3700 as all the features of a smart phone except the touch screen. It has BL-4C 860 mAh Li-Ion battery with a talk time of 4.5 hours and standby time of 335 hours. For a phone as cheap as this, Nokia has managed to provide up to 8 GB of memory card slot. Its phone book can accommodate up to 2000 entries as contacts. Nokia 2690 also has a VGA camera and supports video recording at 176x144 pixels, 15 fps. Nokia 2690 has all features such as good looks, durability and superior quality that consumers looks for in addition to affordability. The phone in addition to the basic features also incorporates Nokia life tools, camera, video and internet to name a few. it supports email and social networking. In terms of the network, the phone supports Quad band EGSM 850/900/1800/1900. The phone runs on the basic S40 platform and has the generally available application such as calendar, notes, recorder, calculator, clock and converter. Users can send mails through Nokia 2690, as well as surf the net through the available web browser. The phone also has Nokia Music Player along with Stereo FM radio (87.5-108 MHz/76-90 MHz), RDS. Nokia 2690 has a very good sound quality which is evident from its mp3, AAC ringtones. There is an option to increase the memory to accommodate more music and other files through MMC expansion slot to add memory to the phone.
