Niksun to be among founding members of GISFI

Bangalore: Dr. Parag Pruthi founded Niksun, a provider of real time enterprise network surveillance solutions, is among the first founding members of the Global ICT Standardization Forum for India (GISFI), an Indian standardization body for Information and Communication Technologies (ICT). Niksun was among the Top 10 promising companies selected by SiliconIndia for 2009. By this participation, Niksun will be able to work with all standardization bodies to develop and cultivate a research and development agenda for ICT. It would play a primary role in strengthening the ties among leading ICT related institutions in India and around the world. As a founding member of GISFI, Niksun will have a platform to participate in any standardization related discussions, enabling Niksun to better understand the market and latest developments in order to solidify Niksun's position in enterprise network surveillance solutions. "There is an ongoing trend towards standardization in the Information and Communications field enabling newer applications and services, which are opening up new businesses and markets. With GISFI spearheading the standardization process in India, NIKSUN can become more proactive toward addressing any raised issues regarding cyber-security and convergence of networks, devices and personal services. The platform that GISFI provides will help promote efficient and faster commercialization of technologies and higher business opportunities for all participants," said Dr. Parag Pruthi, CEO and Founder, Niksun. The company sponsored GISFI's Introductory Workshop to Industries in New Delhi at Hotel Maurya Sheraton on Monday August 10th, 2009. The workshop was inaugurated by the Minister of Communications and IT, Thiru A. Raja. Raja presented a certificate of appreciation to Dr. Pruthi at the event for his long standing dedication and excellence towards ICT initiatives.
