Bangalore: Nasscom, the trade body of the Indian IT-BPO industry, has announced the second edition of the Nasscom Product Conclave which will be held in Bangalore on August 11 to 12, at the Grand Ashok. In addition to the Summit, a platform called 'Product Expo' will be offered to the companies to display and demonstrate their products to the attendees.
The product industry in India is at an inflection point driven by market indicators like technology disruptions, M&A environment, expertise reached by R&D centers, growth of the start-up and emerging company segment and the growth in the domestic market. This years' conclave will offer delegates an insight into the opportunities for the product industry, best practices on product management, and networking opportunities with the Venture Capitalist community and angel investors to help them forge partnerships for growth.
Nasscom has undertaken a study on the Product Business in India that aims to define a roadmap on the market opportunities and make recommendation to help India emerge as a 'product' country. The report, titled 'Nasscom Software Product Study: Outlook for Indian Software Product Businesses', will be released at the occasion of the event.
Sangeeta Gupta, Vice President, Nasscom, said, "The event is part of Nasscom's agenda of continuously identifying and analyzing the emerging opportunity areas and providing a roadmap for companies to achieve the goal. While India has won global recognition as a BPO and software-services powerhouse, the indigenous software product sector is at an early stage of development. We need to ensure adequate support and create an ecosystem that is suited for the growth of this segment, giving its promising potential of achieving revenues in the range of $9.5 to 12 billion by FY2015. We hope to make a beginning towards this objective through the report being released and the product expo."
Industry CEOs, CIOs of user industries, product startups, technology seers, venture capitalists, angel investors, and marketing experts will congregate at Bangalore for this two-day event.
