New Delhi: Aiming at Apple's iTune market, Motorola, one of the major mobile handset manufacturers has launched its music portal Motomusic store in India.
Motorola acquired SoundBuzz, an online and mobile distribution company earlier this year for the activation of the portal. The portal can offer more than 3, 50,000 tracks along with the multimedia content such as wall papers and videos for down load. Motorola has also introduced a music card, which allows users purchase and down load music from the portal.
Earlier, Motorola had expanded its 'ROKR' family of music products with the launch of the new 'ROKR E8' powered by Motomusic in India.
Faisal Siddiqui, Director, Products and Solutions, Motorola, India and South West Asia said, "Music on the move has become an integral part of the mobile users' experience. We expect the music store will enable us to cater to increasing consumer demand for mobile music downloads in the country."
Before India, Motorola had launched Motomusic in China. In Asia only two countries have now equipped with the Motomusic portal.
