Henry Ford
A prominent American industrialist and the founder of the Ford Motor Company, Henry Ford's introduction of the Model T automobile revolutionized transportation and American industry. He was well known worldwide for s system of Fordism that seemed to promise modernity, high wages and cheap consumer goods, but his anti-Semitism became a source of controversy.
His philosophy was one of economic independence for the U.S. His River Rouge Plant became the world's largest industrial complex, pursuing vertical integration to such an extent that it could produce its own steel. He believed in the global expansion of the company. By 1932, Ford was manufacturing one third of world's automobiles.
