An iPhone app, Indian Rail Info provides an interface to check PNR status, check trains, seat availability, train finders and fare enquiry in more than 100 stations in General, Tatkal and Earliest availability modes, but one cannot book ticket with this app. The app has been downloaded between 50,000-100,000. The app has added a new feature 'Vacant Seat Search in Running Trains', through which one can query vacant seats in selected few trains.
