With 20-page invitation sent out in silver boxes for his daughters marriage, L N Mittal's 1000 guests were put up in a five-star hotel in Paris for the five day affair for the marriage of Vanisha Mittal with Amit Bhatia in 2004. The guests included leading Indian industrialists and Bolloywood stars. Five thousand bottles of Mouton Rothschild were emptied during the performance of pop singer Kylie Mingoue at the event. The cost of wine was estimated to be $1.5 million. Aishwarya Rai, Akshay Kumar, Shah Rukh Khan, Saif Ali Khan, Juhi Chawla and Rani Mukherjee also performed in the event. The female guests were given goody bags of jewels. More than $78 million was spend in a nuptial, which was enrolled in the 'billionaire weddings' by Forbes Magazine list along with the names of world's richest people like Bernard Arnault, Donald Trump, Andrei Melnichenko and others.
