Uma Bharati
Uma Bharati has a status of a monk and she has always grabbed the headlines for her staunch support for Hindutvawadi who refuses to compromise and believes that BJP's fundamental character and philosophy is Hindutva and cannot be changed even for political convenience. In 2009 Youth Congress activists burnt the effigy of Uma Bharti, who allegedly made controversial statements against Congress scion Rahul Gandh on July 2009 saying "Rahul is presentating the addicted generation." This former Madhya Pradesh chief minister is back in the BJP after almost six long years in the wilderness in June 2011 after being expelled for defying the party leadership. Uma Bharti on her Ayodhya trip on June 2011 made it clear that Hindutva was going to be the cornerstone of her campaign in Uttar Pradesh in the run-up to the Assembly elections next year and that there will be no compromise on Hindutva and Ram. Recently she lashed out at Congress spokesman Digvijay singh calling him Rahul Gandhi's Stepney.
