Microsoft offers discounts on MS Office 2007 Home & Student edition

Bangalore: Microsoft India has announced the availability of Microsoft Office 2007 Home & Student (H&S) edition for
3,699 during the festive season. Aimed at benefiting families, home users, self-employed professionals and educationalists/academicians, the retail software package will be made available for a two month period starting from October 1, 2008, in major retails of top cities.
"We believe that the wider availability and increased affordability of Microsoft Office 2007 will make it much easier for consumers to get the worlds leading productivity software along with their new PC or laptop," said Sanjay Manchanda, Director, Microsoft Business Division in India.
India is emerging as the fifth largest retail destination globally and is estimated to grow to $427 billion by 2010. A big part of this is consumer electronics including personal computing. With its festive season offer Microsoft hopes to grab the majority of the market share.
