Micro Focus launches ReUZE
Bangalore: Micro Focus, a provider of enterprise application management and modernization solutions, launched a new product named as 'ReUZE'. This product is likely to help customers, who have decided to transfer their business processes from the mainframe onto the Windows platform and want to retain the competitive advantage through the re-use of the enterprise applications. Stephen Kelly, CEO, Micro Focus says, "Our company looks to invest on regular basis to add value at very low cost, optimizing the benefits in the shortest amount of time and avoiding the risks associated with rewriting or replacing critical business systems." With contemporary visual studio based Integrated Development Environment, Micro Focus' ReUZE developer will enable customers to take advantage of improved developer productivity, cross team collaboration and dramatically improved application lifecycle management. Unlike other solutions which insist on rewriting mainframe application data sources for Structured Query Language (SQL) server, removing mainframe syntax from programs, the Micro Focus solution is likely to leave the source code unchanged, by reducing costs, risk, and delivering the highest levels of performance and reliability. The integration with the Microsoft Application Platform may also help customers to extract the maximum value from their enterprise applications. Eddie Amos, General Manager, Developer Tools and Platform Business, Microsoft says, "Our number one priority is to help customers realize the most value from their existing IT assets and move into tomorrow with complete confidence. With the help of Micro Focus, we will try to change the application modernization landscape by reducing costs, improving development processes and providing greater choice for mainframe customers."
