MapmyIndia enters into alliance with Survey of India

New Delhi: MapmyIndia, a map and GPS navigation services provider, has announced an alliance with Survey of India (SOI). As per the terms, MapmyIndia will use and provide Value Added Services (VAS) to SOI maps.
This will strengthen MapmyIndia's existing coverage across India, and open new prospects for business with government and defence organizations.
The Surveyor General of India said, "MapmyIndia is a leading reputed navigational and location based GIS company in India in the digital mapping and cartography space. This alliance would help fulfil the demand for high quality maps and values to GIS based data sets."
Through this alliance, MapmyIndia can combine its map data collection and processing to provide VAS to SOI maps. This will allow MapmyIndia to accelerate provision of map based VAS and navigation services across all cities and towns in India and bring benefits of digital mapping.
