India’s West celebrates the festival of Dussehra with great enthusiasm and enjoyment. There is dance, music and festivities in all corners of the eastern state. This is what the nine days of Navratri and the tenth day of Dussehra is all about in the West of India. The traditional dance Garba and Dandiya are choreographed with two sticks. In Gujarat, men and women gather and dance every night of the Navratri and even lot of competitions and shows are organised on this occasion. Garba and Dandiya nights are what Gujrati’s look forward for and they dressed in the best of attires beautifully decorated with earthen pots.
There are also many fairs and circuses full of rides and other fun activities especially in the urban parts of Western India. Overall, it's a time of great happiness and joy with a festive vibe in the air.
